Sometimes, Silence Says Everything

                 Sometimes, Silence Says Everything

These days, people say, "I'm fine."
But their eyes carry storms,
their voice hides pain,
and their silence screams louder than words.

Sometimes, silence says everything.
It says what the lips are afraid to whisper.
It holds the weight of tears we wiped away secretly.
It speaks of the nights we cried quietly,
and the mornings we wore a fake smile.

They say time heals everything —
but sometimes, time just teaches us
how to pretend.
How to smile when we’re broken,
how to laugh with shattered pieces inside.

We miss people who forgot us in seconds,
even though we gave them months, years…
even though we gave them everything.
We were there when they needed someone,
but when we broke —
we found no one.

It hurts the most when the person
you fought the world for…
makes you feel like
you were never enough.

You become “too much”
just because they stopped caring.
And even when you speak,
they don’t hear you —
because they never really listened.

That’s when you go silent.
Not because you have nothing to say,
but because saying it never mattered.

And now?
Now we don't even want anyone to understand us.
We just want peace.
A quiet place,
a peaceful breath,
and a moment
where we can finally say to ourselves:
“That’s enough now.”

Silence isn’t weakness.
It’s the loudest cry
of someone who gave too much
and received too little.

So the next time someone goes quiet,
look into their eyes —
you might see the screams they never said aloud.
